Frequently asked questions

Yes, we have experience working with just about every insurance company in SW Florida.

No, your insurance company may tell you that you have to use one of their preferred vendors to handle your claim, but that is not true. Some insurance companies use this as a tactic to save themselves as much money as they can on your claim by enforcing a small cap or budget on the vendor contractor. It is always best to hire a 3rd party contractor who will work directly for you, not your insurance company.

Yes, we generally do give free estimates. However, if your insurance company is instructing you to get a detailed insurance estimate from a restoration company and you choose us, our estimate will not be free. Rather we charge a fee, and credit the fee back to you if we get the job.

For assessments and restoration work, we aim to be as non-destructive as possible. However, sometimes it is necessary to remove some materials to really know what is going on. For example, mold often grows in hidden areas like inside wall cavities, behind cabinets, underneath flooring, etc. In these situations it is necesarry to perform some degree of demolition to find and assess the hidden mold, and perform a proper mold remediation. However, we never perform any demolition without the homeowner’s permission and we always implement safety controls such as HEPA air filtration and dust control.

No, we only use hospital-grade and plant-based biocides such as Benefect for remediation work. Even though we use the safest chemicals for remediation work, we always consider any potential health risks with the occupants and make educated decisions with health & safety as our #1 priority.
