During the crime scene cleanup process, fabrics and and other absorbent materials saturated with blood will need to be removed and disposed of with a licensed biohazard facility. When mattresses, couches and chairs are saturated, our crime scene cleanup technicians will actually dismantle them, removing the saturated areas. The remainder of the furniture we will then dispose of as non regulated waste at a landfill. This reduces the cost of biohazard disposal. It is common for blood cleanup and crime scene cleanup to involve concrete and asphalt. Unfortunately, concrete is absorbent and can stain. Quality Restoration Services utilizes two methods to remove blood from concrete and asphalt. Our preferred method is through pressure washing and simultaneous vacuum recovery of all blood and waste water runoff. The copious amounts of water and high powered vacuum allows us to actually extract the blood out of the porous concrete. If the blood is located outside of our trucks 100 foot reach, we revert back to performing crime scene cleanup by hand.
